Heather Caspi is a fiction writer for both children and adults, as well as a freelance writer specializing in public safety and healthcare. She earned degrees in Journalism and English at the University of Maryland, and went on to a career in journalism that now inspires themes in her stories. Above all, she aims to help readers find humor and hope in our challenging times. After growing up in New Jersey and then moving to Maryland and California, she now lives in Colorado with her husband, their two middle schoolers, and their animal sidekicks – two dogs and two cats.
She’s a proud member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and a past participant of its Michelle Begley Mentor Program. She currently writes and edits for a public safety technology and marketing company, and previously wrote for industry news publications covering emergency medical services, the fire service, disaster response, law enforcement, and hospital administration.
When she’s not writing, you can find her figuring out what’s for dinner.
